funny it's because a lot of misinformation. Chinese newspapers have made ridiculous claims of Koreans claiming the Confucious was Korean as well as The Chinese Letter system was Korean. The so called Park Jung-Soo Professor who claimed this doesn't exist. Really it's just Chinese people who are blinded by bad media.

@2009xellos Perhaps the government's only fault is not taking actions to punish these newsgroups for false information and libel. Chinese and Korean relations could be easily improved (people-wise) if China took steps to clarify the false information regarding these issues. Though, part of me believe that the government is also angry about the Dano incident and is purposely not doing anything. Might also have to do with weakening the "Korean wave" in China since so many Korean things.

@2009xellos It's not really even the government's fault, it's the newspapers. It started when the Gangneung Dano Festival was designated by UNESCO as an Intangible Hertiage thing. China felt that this was equal to Korea getting the credit for Duanwu (which is the origin of Dano Festival) as it becoming a Korean holiday. Since then Chinese netizens and newspapers (even in Hong Kong), have been creating such ridiculous claims of Korean stealing Chinese culture.
