  • I just bought one of these Merkur Vision razors, and the enclosed instructions on assembly are less than clear. This video has made what looked complicated very easy. Thank you for posting!

BTW, this is the best DE razor I have used in 40+ years of wet shaving. Feather blades work best for me, but every face is different.

  • @BlueyM

    Excellent!

    I'm a Feather man myself!

  • I lost the instructions on how to take it apart, so I thought there might be something on youtube and wow. All kinds of videos on the razor. Thanks for showing me how to clean it. This is the best razor I've ever own and enjoy using it.

  • @pe69st

Glad you like the vid, and the razor!

    Enjoy!

    Geo.

  • any idea if dipping it in an ultrasonic cleaner will do just as good a job ?

  • @tattooedfagin

Well, it couldn't hurt, but I don't think it would kill all of the germs.

Now, some gents will put there razors into an autoclave....

That will definitely do the job.

As long as your razor can stand up to it!

    Geo.

  • @CorCat87 wait never mind just re watched and heard the first second, lawls thanks!

  • is this done after every shave, or every few shaves?

  • @wtfttfg

Oh, then guess a warranty attempt won't work!

I like to mix things up, as I shave with both Safety and Straight Razors..

Among my favorite Safety razors are the Merkur Futur, Slant Bar, Futur, Vision, and HD.

I also like the Edwin Jagger DE89 Chrome version.

    Check out ShaveNation. c o m..

    For any of these.

    Geo.

  • @geofatboy Oh, I've had it for almost 10 years now. I don't even remember where I got it. I must have taken it apart and put it back together 1000 times without issue. Obviously, this last time, something happened. Any idea who's got the best price on a replacement? Also, I see you have multiple razors. Do you prefer the Vision?
