  • we miss you, Mr. President! Please come back and save us! i think most of us would repeal the 22nd amendment if we could bring you back!

  • @larilin YES....and the lie that obama has increased the debt by "spending". He inherited a 1.7 trillion dollar annual deficit coupled with an inevitable 8 trillion dollars over 10 years...he spent 1 trillion dollars-BUT bush also had two unfunded wars, a large prescription drug plan and the 01 tax cuts.

  • I think this man was a good president not because of the economy (people tend to be too simple-minded in giving an individual president credit for economic booms or bombs), but because he was willing to work with both sides. For example, his admistration gave tax relief to lower income people while also reforming welfare programs. We need a more moderate person like him. Anyone agree?

  • miss u hope obama is reelected!

  • @TheMattd546 I don't think we allow Hussein to threaten his neighbors again after the 1991 Gulf War but i don't think we should have invade Baghdad either. No doubt Hussein was a trouble maker to the region but he did kept in factions in check in Iraq.

Ther reason why Bush Sr didn't invade Baghdad and remove Hussein in 1991 because he realized that he could not control the factions that could blown into civil war in Iraq after Hussein was removed. This is exactly what happened in Iraq now.

  • I hope I don't have to see another one of these til 2017! LETS GO! OBAMA 2012!

  • @Saebeck32 Wrote: "George w Bush simply was not smart enough to be president."

Which I believe, is why he was "ordained" to be President. Seems that he was more like Dick Cheney's puppet.

Iraq's invasion of Kuait was the result of bungled policy on the part of Bush41, as was Dessert Shield and Dessert Storm. Up to that point, the Taliban was an ally of the U.S.

This is one area where H. Ross Perot hit the nail smack dab on the head.

  • @ihofaerefa no Obama did increase the debt yes Bush went in with a 600 billion surplus and out with a 300 billion deficit but Now it is 1 trillion so both Bush and Obama raise the deficit.

  • @Hperman09 yup i remember that, it all back fired on congress in 2001 crazy

  • @TheMattd546 Clinton actually had plans to deploy U.S. troops into Afghanistan, remove the Taliban regime, and search for Bin Laden after the 2000 USS Cole incident in Yemen but Congress refused to grant him an authority to do so because they don't have evidence whether the USS Cole bombing was the work of Al-Qaeda/Bin Laden or not. Also, the U.S. was cutting a lot of military budget for the money to be used on it's economy since many felt no legit threat at that time.

  • @DRisLegend200919 Actually, the U.S. and UN forces invaded Iraq in 1991 but only the southern part of it and not moving into Baghdad. Google up all the battles we fought during the first Gulf War. More battles in the first Gulf War was fought in Iraq than in Kuwait.

  • @Saebeck32 I don't care. It's damn if we don't and damn if we do. I saw a lot of comments about Clinton saying he deserved to die because he was afraid of public opinion in the USA about the events in Somalia due to the Rwanda Genocide in 1994. Since Bush Jr decided that was not the case for him and part of war on terror, he invaded since Saddam broke the 1991 UN ceasefire treaty. It's pretty much a no win situation nowadays.

I do agree Bush Jr is not smart enought to be President.
