  • Cool, but it'll cost a fortune. Give it a few cycles and let the big dogs get into the competition. Let early adopters beta test it for you. X-mas present for 2010? Probably 2011.

  • @HiredGoonage Liquavista technology can be run on an LCD manufacturing line as only difference instead of filling with liquid crystal you fill with the electrowetting liquids. Liquavista is industrializing with process step with a well known equipment manufacturer..

so this will be equivalent costs to LCD

  • @Liquavista I look forward to this! I hope you guys succeed.

  • @ddpacino is it?? coz it looks like lcd to me.. anyway if it really is electrowetting then its amazing.. :) i want 10 inch of that thing! best for reading school books!

  • Good Trend

  • @Aislan4414 lets just say that the mirasol dispaly is better! in many ways.. first the mirasol display will not burn your eyes so it will be good for long time reading (as you know reading with and lcd screen can really stress your eyes.) and jsut what you said power consumption.. lcd eats alot of power unlike mirasol.. :)

batlife with this lcd will last for about 8-15 hrs depending on the display but in mirasol you might actually last for days with the same battery. :)

  • holy shit that was fast updating, I would buy this.

    Keep up the good work

  • hmmm.... yes, but no

  • It loads fast too!

  • @Ariola5599 I guess a bit of non-electro wetting is going on too.

  • What framerate can this effectively animate at (ie, so that most of the time of a frame is showing all the right pixel component intensities)?

How does power consumption compare to OLED and LCD when changing every pixel at, say, 30 frames per second or 60 fields per second?
