@TheMagroc Good post, those that stayed have no right to have a chip on their shoulder about those that left, i read somewhere that in 100 yrs of emigration, the Irish sent back an estimated 13 billion punts, which boosted a desperate economy.

Now this song says it all for all of our fathers & mothers who left home when they were hardly old enough to go to town, never mind a Country that didn't want them. I salute my parents for their courage in doing the right thing, plenty didn't & they have a chip on their shoulder when they talk to the sons & daughters of those people that left. More Irish than the Irish themselves. God bless mum & dad & all like them. Your the rock that England's built on......& Ireland more so! The sterling!!

Brilliant song Gerry and a brilliant job done on it !! Best ive heard sine Come Home Danny Boy by Seamus McGee Should be dedicated to all the Sons and DADS who lost their lives working in the UK and those whose lives were destroyed in later years from workin in tunnels
