The British Open at Royal Lytham & St. Annes has been full of drama the first two days. Tiger Woods, who currently sits 3rd on the leaderboard, stole the show from the bunker on 18. A vintage Tiger chip-in made the crowd go wild. However, Sam Snedeker leads the Open at -10. Adam Scott, accompanied by caddie Steve Williams, sits one stroke behind Snedeker.

Well then you should email the organisers of The Open, and point out
"i am highly confused at the labelling of this golfing Championship... Even though there are 4 majors, each with a totally different name making spotting the differences in the names even more easy... I still cannot figure out EVEN AFTER 152 Open Championships... I still think the naming is silly... I don't know where its located? I Just can't figure it out..."
Could i sound any more condescending?
Because it is The Open...

Well...You're wrong.
Wikipedia The Open Championship, search for The Open Championship on google.
I'm merely pointing out that there are 4 major golfing championships. The Open, US Open, Masters, and the PGA Championship.
In that there should be no confusion.
ITS been called The Open since 1860. So why should the Americans change the name, because they get confused. Us, and other Europeans don't get confused.
