He should've waited a bit with the throttle and got the wing stable, and then slowly increase the throttle so the torque steer don't act so quick and violent.
The glider was a bit "Parachuting" so that's why the motor pushed him of the ground right away and made him unable to land on his feet because he's pullet backwards and to the side.
May be hold the A-risers a bit longer so the glider comes up in flying position and run a bit so the glider is stable before hitting full throttle gently.

This is not a critic, just an analysis.
Pilot induced error.
1- Sat too early.
2-He was in an oscillation to the left but he reacted by lowering the left hand instead of the inverse and stay in line with the wind.
Kind of lucky, just broke a blade but apparently not the cage.
Pilot probably knows by now. Hope he is still flying .

Forgotten how what started - freeflight? I have been flying hang gliders since the mid 70s - whan did Paragliding start? When there were enough gutless, no skill wankers who couldn;t even fly paragliders.

The primary cause of this was an idiot design of an aircraft. If you cannot even fly a paraglider without having to put a sutpid, loud, slow engine on the back you are basically too big a cunt to be allowed to fly - GIVE UP and fuck off back to RC modelling or whatever else you annoy people with.
