How a very foolish decision by a producer to nobble a certain contestant ruined the reputation of Channel 5's most successful TV gameshow/quiz show. The show never really recovered from this scandal and was soon dropped.
Since when was this a scandal? At no point ever was this a scandal. Some dude destroyed the opposition, and for the good of the show and its viewers it had to be "thank you, but goodbye".
100% is not a show that would last a long time, so it by no means brought the end of it. In fact, moving him on gave the show extra life.

Well, it lasted until the summer of 2001...
And don't forget 100% Gold - the same show but with more senior contestants, like a certain Daphne Fowler.
