My automatic 328is beat manual m3 coupe other day twice.

either you have alot of mods done to your 328is or the guy with the m3 does not know how to drive... I sold my 328is and have an m3 now... and believe me there is no way a 328is is as fast as an e36 m3.

Is it an actual 328is? How does it differ from 328i? Have rou ran a dynamometer test?

its a 328is, the 328is is the sport model if im not mistaking... slightly different suspension and wheels I think, never did a dyno test... I drive an e36 m3 now.

very nice man. I also have e36 328i coupe (red) :) and i love these cars. I'd like to know what mods have you done. I'd never expect to leave a 350z behind lol

The only mods are, flowmaster exhaust, M50 manifold and K&N intake.

everybody knows that inline sixes are a better design than v6. all in the tuning world the giants have always been inline sixes, the supra with the 2jz ,1jz and the 7mgte, the skyline with the rb26dett and the rb 25det. even the best jeep cherokee engines have been the inline six versions. in not surprised at the outcome of the race

I have an e36 m3. Was going to trade in for an e46 but changed my mind. Instead I will keep it for another 3 yrs since im installing a supercharger from vf engineering. I should have about 300 to the wheels or more since I have other mods.

lol 2.8 I6 vs a 3.5 V6 and it still comes out BMW for life, can't beat it.
