Yah! I love this classic restaurant. Oakland's now got a red-hot cuisine scene, with such stars as Camino, Wood Tavern, Michelin-starred Shybout's Commis, yadda yadda.
But Baywolf led the way, all those years ago, along with Berkeley's Chez Panisse. Sure, Olivetos came along (and still holds sway over in Oakland's Rockridge), but even that relative new-comer is now Old School. But the Baywolf doesn't need the hip of Plum or Zen minimalist light of Comis. Baywolf's the venerated master.
