iMac 27 " - Intel X25-M SSD Postville 80GB - 8GB RAM - Bootup Time

effective bootuptime (clean Snow Leopard, just installed the newest updates): 15-16sec ...
booting up with itunes, mail, serverconnection: 20-21sec.
Hardware: iMac (late 09) 27" , Intel C2D 3,06 Ghz, 8GB RAM, ATI Radeon 4670, Intel X25-M Postville 80GB SSD

does the ssd drive make any noise at all? I think I heard noise coming from the imac... was it the ssd?

i think you mean the tempcontrollers? there`s a simple trick... just short circuit the tempcontrollercable and it works ;)

I have a ssd in my mac mini. and while the mac mini is quite already, after installing the drive you can't even hear if it's turned on. 13 sec boot time on mine too.
