I JUST saw this in a school I visited a few days ago for a German Competition.

If u had more clocks u could make a world clock display. looks like A simplex box. most used a speaker for tones and intercom both. tones instead of bells for class change.
-
I have modified this clock to be vertical now.

alright, thanks, do you know where I can find a few of these type of clocks?

I have an idea, try to trace the school, who put the clocks in the school, where
they got the clocks from( I know simplex made the clock, I am also looking this
up to see what I can come up with, I will try to get back with you on this soon.

@pnfl07 Thanks, but someone already solved this for me. The plate too was made by Simplex, but when it was part of the American Time Company. This is from my school, they said it was built to be an intercom system, but at the last second, literally, they ripped it out and put in 8 inch buzzers instead. We have now taken this system out and now use atomic clocks by La Crosse. I still keep the converted one in my locker.

Apparently, this was made by Simplex & American Time Company, and it wasn't an intercom, but a dummy buzzer, while others had buzzers or bells or chimes.
