Yeah you must spend hours shaving, man. Mike committed a crime and therefore will be subject to the law. You cant just say oh he needs prayer because he was naughty. What he did was a very serious criminal act. If you commit a crime of fraud you do the time. I think you are sending the message "just do whatever you want it will be ok"

It is interesting how you people classify the victims as the members of your church, the family or those who bought the record. We couldn't care less. At no point do you religious people apologize to the real victims of this despicable fraud, ie. the real cancer sufferers hurt by this. Stop trying to cover up for this fraudulent pastor and your church. Most of us do not care for your body of christ, whatever. If you are young, take note yet another in a long line of evangelical frauds.

You are so right George that God has the authority to judge, right?
The rich judge the poor and God judges the rich.

Love is all you need.....all you need is love. Let God handle all the punishment and judgement.

Yeah George, Jesus could have stood back when he saw the money changes in the Temple, kept his mouth closed so he didnt utter a negative word, and just prayed for all involved. But no, he didnt do that. He got angry at what he saw, he vented the anger, and he let them know it. You can just wimp off and pray in the corner if you like, but that is just religious. It isnt real, and frankly it isnt Christ-like. Besides that, Michael G deserves a table or two turned on his head!

Hi wollep1,
Yes Jesus did do that & was very right to do so, however, that is a very different situation to this. He was angry at those who made God's House into a 'Sales' house with no reverence to God. In this situation, Mike G lied & is now walking through the consequences of his actions. Our role is not to become all 'self-righteous' & condemn more, our role is to love & bring truth, peace & restoration.

So what are you suggesting? That we pretend it did not happen?By appealing to Christians not to judge or condemn, but rather to forgive, and by implication forget, you are advocating a conspiracy of silence. That was not the approach of St Paul who named names and exposed corruption in the Church. The world can see through your thin attempts at damage limitation and is not impressed when it sees that the church is no better than itself. You are just giving unbelievers further cause to blaspheme.

Hi DYoung,
That is not what I am attempting to do. What he did was wrong and needs to walk through the consequences. My concern is with the rest of us & what our hearts will become after this is long gone. How we respond to a situation such as this will show us the state or our heart & will determine the path of ouir future. You can not spread hatred & call it 'righteousness' (that's self-righteousness)..let God do what He needs to & we do what He needs us to- & that's to forgive & love.
