  • wow... did you guys run with your sway bars connected? cuz it seemed like your vehicles didnt have a whole lot of flex =/ im kind of curious on how my 2000 jeep cherokee will do on this trail, im running 33x10.50's on 4 inches of lift and no armor.

  • @sik05civic The Black FJ had the front swaybar disconnected, offering a little flexability. There are a few sections on the Miller Jeep trail that will challenge a vehicle without lockers. However, an experienced driver with a moderately capable vehicle can complete this trail. There are only two areas which pose damage, as you see in the many videos of this trail.

  • Just for the record, The '07 silver FJ did NOT have a modification to allow the limited slip front diff to operate with the rear locker engaged effectively making it simply a 2 wheel drive whenever one front wheel comes off the ground. I've since made the mod and it has improved it's capablilities dramatically. Also, neither of us air down in favor of clearance.

  • The silver Bullet is awesome! Can't wait for the next run Skip! I just Ran a trail called Wheeler Ridge near Bishop... climbs to 11,000ft! some small fun obstacles along the way.

  • how did the A/T's end up on that FJ? they dont look aired down at all. suffer many slices? very good video!!! thanks for making it.

  • i should have aired them down for added comfort and traction, but i like the extra few inches of clearance of fullly aired 35" BFG's. The tread was lightly torn as expected, this trail has steep rocky sections. The 2008 black FJ got stuck once (seen in the video) and had to backup in order to 'pop' the rear over that obstacle. The 2007 Silver FJ worked different angles and locker configurations to conquer the obstacle. The 2007 was on 3" EMU lift and the 2008 was on 6" Fabtech.

  • u guys should run freeway ridge. you would really enjoy it! You shouldn't run it alone though. a few tight spots

  • @roadhog747 wow man i just ran this trail saturday, and it WAS pretty intense. that section i believe at 5.38 where the silver fj got hung up. i went the opposite side and went down the middle and split the gap. upon exiting my back tire fell off the rock, i thought i had body damage for sure, but i made it all the way thru it w/o damage, you were right though this trail was a good challenge for a vehicle w/o lockers! this is a black diamond trail, its def. not for beginners!

  • what kind of tires are on the silver FJ?

  • You don't air down in favor of clearance? all I can say is wow...you should try it you will FOR Sure like all the beni's of doing it!

  • is the jeep a 4 cylinder?

  • Wow, what a coincidence. I'll be visiting Rock Creek Canyon this weekend, very near Wheeler Ridge trail! If I can find a trail map I may have to check it out.
