"Gallery Art" Documentation

A text based instructional performance in the form of three framed texts hung on the gallery wall. The instructions invite viewers to participate in a satirical performance that challenges the norms of traditional gallery behavior. Each viewer is encouraged to follow the instructions beginning with small actions that parody conventional gallery conduct. Eventually, the directions progress into more courageous actions, which climax with directions to remove one of the framed texts from the wall and to smash it on the gallery floor.
