This is my 3-4 month old bearded dragon named Mr. Dude. As indicated by the video he is a ravenous eater, most young bearded dragons are characterized by aggressive eating habbits into their adult years.

Mr. Dude generally eats crickets like this twice a day and snacks on greens the rest of the day.

  • Nice video! Although i would recomend a different substrate because sand can cause impaction which will kill your lizard.

  • @reptilesforlife40 yes thats in the wild -.- but captive bearded dragons get the option of living in a "safer" environment..thats like me saying..oh well rabbits live underground and in caves in the wild so if i get one and put it outside even if its raining..its ok because thats how it is in the wild -.- poor sense of logic.....

  • i hand feed mine and i put 1 or 2 live crickets in his cage and he doesn't eat them. he only eats the ones i hand feed him. hes about 1 month old. someone tell me if its just a phase or have i spoiled him. other than that hes pretty active and nice. so someone plz tell me.

  • he eats a lot!!!

  • QUESTION: Do you regularly clean his sand?? In my setup we use coated newsprint from the ads section of the newspaper (water doesn't rub off the ink). We do this mainly because we dont have to worry about cleaning the sand every time he poops. Just curious.

  • wow huge tank for one little one you should get more

  • CHECK OUT MY BEARDED DRAGON AND MY GOLIATH FROG!!

  • @cometkite Second that! My poor leopard gecko was living in fine sand and got an impaction some years ago and almost died. Thanks to help from professionals she survived. She is now 14 years old and very happy :)

  • I have one of these little guys and i recommend using reptille carpet it is not that expensive but for a baby lizard that is the main chose of base for a bearded dragon

  • @P8ONisFANTASTIC Actually, leopard geckos can have problems with impaction too.

  • Dude drummer take it to a vet or your locally owned pet store they will know what's going on
