ES40DC 5357, C40-8W 7715, and SD70MAC 4826 hurried through a 'foggy' scene at Ruther Glen with intermodal hotshot Q034 at 8:29. Why 'foggy'? Simple - I had attached my UV filter to the camera after Northeast Regional 82 passed, and the cold morning air had fogged it up completely by the time Q034 approached; a fact which did not come to my attention until I powered the camera up for the shot. Whoops.

  • @iusetano Yup, it totally slipped my mind. Never had the problem before; I think my blowing on it to ensure there weren't any lint particles might have been a contributing factor.

  • I was going to get a UV filter for my camera. That's something to consider when shooting on cold mornings. Excellent video Dave.

  • @mgaines106 No fancy editing involved - just a cold filter attached to a warm camera. :)

  • I think the fog (or whatever it is) in the background creates a really interesting effect. I will be sure and read your description to see how your picture got that way.
