    @ Garrett Larsen, there speaks a man who never played a note in his life, and hasn' t got a clue what he's talking about. I've made a good living from music for over 40 years and enjoyed many a "smoke" along the way, until I gave up smoking 3 years ago!! Does that mean I'm not a "real musician"?? The silly buggers still pay me for doing it!! So you CAN fool all the people, all the time, eh?

    It has been claimed that Armstrong required his band people to be stoned, but I wasn't there and can't vouch for that. But that he and Bing smoked "reefer" is a historical fact.

    Louis Armstrong is considered one of the foremost American musicians of the 20th Century. Bing wasn't in his league, of course, except that they both enjoyed weed.
