@FeverAT69 So sorry I didn't know all these comments were here. Thanks so much for the encouragement, I deeply appreciate it. I coach Shakespeare, especially monologues, if you'd ever like to do a Skype lesson or get consulting for the perfect monologues for yourself, let me know.

@SinsOfForgiveness Wow, Angela, thanks sooo much. I had no idea these comments were here! I had to jump through new YouTube hoops simply to respond to my own video but every artist needs encouragement and I deeply appreciate yours.

@pentex128 Thank you for the encouragement! Anything that gets younger students into Shakespeare WORKS, right? Wonderful that they are learning and becoming the next generation's theatre-goers.

Excellent job, perfect acting. And you don't need a Scottish accent, look at the way my hs did it...to get the younger students interested in the works of Shakespeare, they made it Goth style with Sex Pistols music. Changed words but never meaning. PS/This was two years ago....the Midd & High School have continual check outs of prior dusty Macbeth books...they want to learn the real words.

Molly you're amazing! I'm completely mad'bout Lady Macbeth (I've also dedicated part of my thesis to her) and I think probably you are the ONLY ONE who can represent the power of Gruoch.

Lol, I have something against every Lady Macbeth or Macbeth that doesn't have a Scottish accent, since it is set in Scotland. I'm doing the scene when she thinks she is washing her hands and is in a trance. But really struggling on the accent.... Any acting tips?

If your preference is acted upon, then do we extrapolate from that & do AYLI w a French accent or Shrew w an Italian accent? IMHO, Shakespeare wrote the plays to all be performed in English in the accents of his day be they upper or lower class accents. At the RSC, they advised just doing it in one's true voice.
Advice: avoid an accent especially if it is not a strong point. The trance scene is overdone & Lady M is usually a "mature" role. Make sure you would be cast in the role today.

Wow, thank you so much for the encouraging words. Every artist needs that!!
Where are you located?
I do teach Shakespeare workshops if we can get something fun together in your town/city, with enough students, you could take the workshop for free and really enrich yourself!

did you miss some out though?

Hey there.
Yes, it's cut internally. Audition pieces in many situations are timed and I like to come in well under time. Also, as a director, I prefer to see SHORT well packed pieces than long ineffective ones.
Thanks for writing!!
