  • tá mo chroí istigh inti!! <3 Maria Doyle Kennedy<3

  • I REAAALLYYYY want to learn to speak Gaeilge.

Also, I can't help but chuckle at Maria's inserts of "yeah, really and, you know" in English :P

  • Mo Cuishle, Mo Cuishle , Mo Cuishle!!!!!

  • hi is it possible someone could tell me what Maria says please? :) x

  • Also, Many people can speak a little Irish but not many speak it fluently.

  • Hi! I speak Irish as my first language. I live in Galway(west Ireland). Basically what they are saying here is what they difficultys are in translating songs. They say if they translate directly, the lose some of the meaning. Also, it needs to flow, so that is why the lyrics slightly change. Oh and Himaryous, Irish is not that widespread. There are a few regions in Ireland called Gaelteachts. Irish is being taught in every school and there are many Gaelscoileanna, which are Irish based schools

  • This was feckin' awesome :) Thanks very much for sharing

  • I'm American and have not been in Ireland since 1978 so I know so little...How widespread is the speaking of Irish in Ireland now? Is the television show aimed at an audience that speaks only Irish, or is it part of an attempt to return Irish to being a language spoken by more people? Thanks!

  • lol

  • What the fuck r they speaking?
