Rescue 911 - Episode 228 - "Wolf Baby"

A pregnant woman with a condition known as WPW (Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome) goes into cardiac arrest. This segment was taken from Episode 228 which aired on May 7, 1991 on CBS. This particular version of the segment was taken from a 30-minute syndicated episode, so small parts of it may have been cut out to make room for commercials. The quality is bad for the first three minutes or so, but it gets better.

I had WPW I was diagnosed when I was 17. I had corrective surgery when I was 17. Thank GOD.

This reminds me of a doctor on call for the guy who coded and died.

We tried for 25 minutes to save him, using the most aggressive invasive procedures there were, but it didn't do any good.

Finally the doctor turned to us and said 'Does anyone have a problem calling this?' Then waited for someone to raise an objection.

I thought 'YOU'RE the doctor. What the heck are you asking US for?'

Of course he could have been addressing the other physicians there. At the time, I thought he meant all of us.
