United Nations, New York, 27 January 2009: United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Executive Director Thoraya Ahmed Obaid welcomed President Obama's decision to restore funding and noted how quickly he addressed the issue. "The President's actions send a strong message about his leadership and his desire to support causes that will promote peace and dignity, equality for women and girls and economic development in the poorest regions of the world. And access to reproductive health is at the core of all of these issues."

  • Any time you hear the words "Family Planning" be afraid. Family Planning pushes abortion on every person that walks through their doors in the U.S. The U.N.Family.Planning.A not only pushes for abortion in 3rd world countries they support any government that wants to force abortion on the population and even do late term abortion. Where they induce labor then smash the scull open and vacuum out the brain of a living breathing child most times. The U.N.F.P.A are not helping the health of women!!

  • @tonybtwo They also murder millions of unborn children, force sterilization and abortion on women, and actually demeeen women more, by taking away their freedom of choice. But you know, they are doing such a great job, improving the world.

  • Its great that you Americanas got rid of Bush.

Right wing christian zealot. In the pay of oil companies.

  • The nation that caused the creation of UNFPA by providing the initial 1.7 million in 1968, is working with you again!
