  • If there is not a steel beam or a solid wall underneath,then it is not load bearing. Also,tiling on top of plywood timber is quite common place as long as it is thick enough to achieve its purpose ie to eliminate any forms of movement or variations in floor level,tho a solid/cement base is preferable. Screed for a finished floor level throughout then use self-levelling compound as a good base before tiling.

  • the gaps are for expansion & movement

  • it doesn't seem or look like you should be doing any of this kind of work with the type of questions your asking plus asking  on you tube instead of professionals.

  • One of the easiest ways to tell is the double top plate on the framing.

  • definitely load bearing. you need hardi backer for floor. agree completely with jolt70
