Given The Power contributor Bo Weiss and I, asked folks, in offices, on the streets and in their homes to step up and add their voice and point of view to the project.

Full of feeling and philosophy, this is video of average Americans who were just given the power.

Just a sample of the footage shot over the last few weeks. GTP continues to request and accept video contributions. In New Jersey, the crew and I will be driving the length of the state on old US HWY 9 asking people to complete the sentence and have their thoughts added to all the others who were given the power.

On April 30th 2009 GTP will head down to Washington, DC for the inauguration and to celebrate the launch of www.GivenThePower.com, a national video survey site that will broadcast and allow upload of video responses.
