A Survivor made film exploring the effect of psychosis and medication on the quality of life of those experiencing it.

This film shows how it can affect every corner of life, even simple things like answering the phone. This film follows Stu Adams, a man with the experience of schizophrenia. A walk in the park is not simply a walk in the park....

  • ccross112233, I am sorry you feel this bad, please don't harm yourself, please don't let your light go out.

  • s are brave people and the illness and the individual are very highly respected in my opinion for what life entails

  • thanks for your feedback, PCJoejoe. I, the director, of the film, also experience psychosis, and was getting frustrated with the lack of docus from survivors themselves. So that's why I made it. And am very glad I did. It has been shown in quite a few places all over the world, including a small festival in Cannes.

  • ok, y'know what? reading some of these comments i couldnt be more discusted!

all these weed smokers and meth-heads whining and complaining about how shit their life is now they found out their schizophrenic- fact of the matter is that your life mustn't have been going all that well to turn to drugs in the first place!

you did this to yourself and now your paying for it!

what about those of us who DIDN' T decide to fuck our own lives up and are schizo anyway!? you ever think about that!?

  • If you were seeing patterns...I highly doubt weed was the only thing you were doing bro. Maybe you forgot about your shroom or acid trip a few days/weeks before? I'll agree with the brain feeling hot claim...because that happened to me when I smoked on 4/20...but I'm just saying weed resulting in schizophrenia has got to be an outrageously high ratio. On the other hand, just because you were seeing things doesn't automatically mean you are schizo. Its called substance abuse!

  • I can't understand what he's saying but have any of you guys heard of a 7yeard old named jani with p.s.? It's so sad... She has tried to kill her self she scratches and bites herself till she draws blood because she has imaginary friends that tell her to.. It's so sad

  • @italianchriswilko100 you are a real dick for saying that. alot of times it is part of their experience of schizophrenia that caused them to turn to drugs you idiot. they didn't fuck up their own lives their brain was fucked up just like yours. There are plenty of people who do drugs and don't get schizophrenia. why be so mean so you can just wallow in your self pity. i have schizophrenia and we should all support each other in our recovery however we THINK we got this illness.

  • @italianchriswilko100 you are a

  • Have you ever thought about creating a red book?

  • Am really impressed with that vid. I think you have done some good in showing us all how one lives with mental illness. Thank you.

  • Our state didn't want me to succeed.

  • I have real people after me. They hurt me, but it's all a big joke. I can't say anything. People mistret and abuse me. I've gotten to the point where I assault them then the law gets involved and blames me because I'm mentally ill.

  • The dead people, because that's who you are talking to, just said I got caught trying to leave my body. "you were caught, prisoner." "they re going to shoot you." Okay. I'm a criminal according to them, the things tht arent there. The run between the worlds. Yes, I was schizophrenic. I have history of it. Now I'm retarded.

  • I don't have schizophrenia. I have something from a hypoxia injury (or several) and cyanide. My life has been like mortal combat. That's why I have a shortwave. Society and my worthless side of the family just wishes to control me to make up for their own sordid, checkered lives.

  • @heidyXD it does has an hereditary component but that does not means youll get it
