My prison is nothing like that we deal with only 1000 inmates but have the only HCON in the state of NC. We don't have anything near that much movement and most of the damn inmates don't give a shit about reforming themselves

Actually murder and rape only account for a small portion of inmate populations. The majority is drug and drug related offenses from selling and production to simply being caught using it multiple times.

I'm a 7-year correctional officer myself. You should be more honest and show "real" footage of what it's like working inside a open pod by yourself with 100+ inmates. You should explain that it's not a job for everyone because a career in corrections has a high turnover. When myself and 35 others gradutaed from our academy class in 2000, there are only 7 of us left still working today. 5 quit within the first 6 months.

Yeah, it doesn't seem like it'd be a wonderful career. Low-ish wages (depending on what area you're working in I suppose) and the constant possibility of bodily harm.
