  • omg the sounder quality so good even for a handheld good job...

  • hey thanks! Keep on the watchout for some new videos. I'm gonna hook up a mic to my computer and record it that way, for better sound quality.

  • I remember the skating rinks...with Pong and 45 record juke boxes. Do you remember Tony Orlando and Dawn? Wow...those where the days.

  • I got this 45 when it came out in 73. The great thing about this arrangement, (hard to hear on this mono channel) it was very early disco influence with the strings and pop beat. I don't remember if Sister Janet was excommunicated or not-- this was very controversial when it came out, many Catholics (and Rome) considered it sacrilegious, but her desire in making the record was only to encourage the younger generation to remember to pray the Lord's Prayer. I certainly did, it was one of my faves.

  • oh my gosh, we used to listen to this all the time and we owned the 45 too! its still as nice now as it was then sister mead!

  • Ah Yes! The song we Catholic kids could sing proud and loud and not get the stink eye from Sister Joseph!

  • The Radio version was Slightly different:: The Our father was recited once quickly in a Latin Monastic Gregorian chant, Then Sister Mead quickly recited the prayer in vernacular to herself . Then the song kicked in with the Dijjroo or whatever they call that aboringinal instrument. However I never though I would hear the Song Again. Thank you so much.

  • Love this.

  • That's the same 45 that I have.

  • @lurch321 ATTENTION! Please disregard the above comment. Sister Janet is alive and well.......................I had a "brain cramp" and confused her with another one hit wonder, the Singing Nun (who had a top 10 hit called Dominique in '63). SHE is the one who committed suicide in '85..................my apologies to everyone.

  • @lurch321 and in strange even eerie irony the singing nun who did 'domonique" also wound up committing suicide

  • @BrownDavidson Sadly, she committed suicide in '85.
