Doom 3 Resurrection of Evil - The Maledict

The final boss battle at the end of Doom 3 ROE is against the awesome 'Maledict' (aka. Betruger). Faster and less predictable then the Cyberdemon in Doom 3, this guy is no pushover. However, the Hell Stone is what makes this battle that much easier and without it, this fight would be very difficult.

The music I've included in this boss battle is called 'Thanatos', more specifically it is from the final stage of the 'Tower of Lost Souls' in 'Soul Calibur IV'.

@ilovedragons *spoiler* Well, after you've defeated the Maledict, the screen goes white and you hear the voice of Dr. Elizabeth McNeil. Eh, she says something like 'Marine, Welcome home'. And the game ends. So yeah, presumably, all's well that ends well.

...Untill Doom 4. :P

@Johnny12575 This final boss battle isn't in Doom 3, it's in it's expansion pack - Resurrection of Evil.

By the way is it possible to beat this level without the Artifact?

@OldSkoolgamerz Good question. I've never attempted it myself, as shooting the Maledict while he's in flight and when he's launching metorites at you with his volcano attack would be a pain in the ass. Only one way to find out I guess.

@ilovedragons Well, McNeil dies in RoE so that you can go to hell to beat the shit outta Maledict. So, since you hear McNeil talkin' to ya while the screen goes white, maybe the player dies too and they're in heaven? That should explain her saying "Welcome home".

And true, I have no idea about WTF happened to the D3 marine.
