Put Food First - Every day nearly 1 billion people go to bed hungry. Rising and volatile food prices are causing pain and suffering for poor people around the world, driving 44 million people into extreme poverty in recent months. We need to find solutions to ensure everyone has enough nutritious food now and in the years to come.

Have you seen "Occupying Chairlifts" on youtube? Curious if you buy into this discussion's premise, that an inheritance cap would course correct humanity's direction, or if it's a dangerous and flawed notion. Interesting angle anyway, worth consideration? Watch "Occupying Chairlifts" on youtube!

Go to the website "Freerice" to donate rice to people starving. You don't need to pay any money you just need to answer questions and you donate 10 grains of rice for each one you get correct. Please take some time to do this! 10 grains don't seem like much but it really adds up! Thank you to those who will give this a try!

Fair Trade, as opposed to Free Trade, would be a big start, but we cannot wait on the Food Industry, which started this mess, to fix it. WE... I... must act.

I want to know why eating food that was produced by a "huge farm that is industrializing" is wrong? Almost all large farms are family businesses that have grown to keep up in the large business that farming is. I don't see anyone complaining about drinking their fancy Starbucks coffee drinks that are also supplied by a huge business.

Figures this is from the World Bank. Everything I've read doesn't point to food being too expensive, and "opening trade" has lead to a lot of food insecurity. It's undermined local farmers. The key isn't big international agri-business with cheap commodity crops, t's local food productions. Which, by the way, makes food cheaper, but in a sustainable way. And by "more efficient farming practices" they mean GMOs, they mean huge farms, they mean industrializing, and they mean tons of fertilizer.

Misleading information, the world today is producing twice the food it needs to feed everybody. Hanger is here because of unjust distribution and the fact that food prices are out in the commodities market. A market that is a gambling arena for the filthy rich.
