Rising and volatile food prices are causing pain and suffering for poor people around the world, driving 44 million people into extreme poverty in recent months. We need to find solutions to ensure everyone has enough nutritious food now and in the years to come.

@yfyee001 Not unless this so-called god is a high-ranking board of OPEC! I don't think so.... It's time we start to invest & produce energy that doesn't require the use of fuel oil that's bleeding us into bankruptcy. The day we don't need their god-damned oil will be the day they will starve, not us and it will be a great day indeed! I can't wait for the high & mighty oil execs are reduced to mac & cheese for dinner!

Why you "Put food first"? Why not "Put Energy first"?
Energy like oil&gas is cost of food. Countries which produce oil&gas (OPEC) are richer and richer but agriculture countries is poorer and poorer.
Food price is higher because energy price is higher.
So "DOES IT MAKE SENSE"

I hate to sound like an asshole but if more people are well feed and have enough to eat, that not fixing the problem the population will just keep going and going then what? We will have to many people hungry, then probably mass famines bigger than we have experienced. Then our population will hit a peak then decline and keep declining till there's enough food for the population. Most of our food we consume isn't sustainable.
