♥ Disney Channel Video Contest!!! [CLOSED] ♥

...RULES...
1. Must be about a Disney Channel star. You can use past (ex. Hilary Duff, High School Musical) or present (ex. Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez) stars. It doesn't matter who you choose, as long as they're Disney stars.

2. You can either make your fan video about a single person, a couple or even a whole movie/TV show. Who, and how you make your video is up to you.

3. Your video must be longer than 1 minute in length, but no longer than 5 minutes.

4. You can use any editing software you want, it doesn't matter. So, if you only use Movie Maker, you can still enter your video.

5. The closing date is April 16th 2011. That gives you a good 5 weeks to enter.

6. Post your entry as a video response to THIS video. I'll approve all responses within 12 hours of them being submitted.

...JUDGING...
I will be judging your videos using a points system that I have devised. Each of these categories is worth a maximum of 5 points. The video with the most points overall, wins. 2nd most points gets 2nd place, and 3rd most points gets 3rd place.

Here are the categories...
1. Flow. How well the clips flow and tie in with the lyrics in the song.

2. Editing. The more skilled the editing, the more points it is worth. For example, a simple slideshow will be worth less points than a fully edited video with clips.

3. Song Choice. How well the choice of song fits the person(s) in the video and how well the song flows with the video.

4. Connection. How much of a connection I can feel to the characters from watching your video. A truly good fan video can draw a person in, even if they have never seen the show/characters before.

5. Originality. Try to be an original and creative as you can in your editing and song choice. The more original, the more points you will get!

I will NOT deduct points if you make your videos in Windows Movie Maker or any other free editing software. I have seen videos made in movie maker that can easily rival videos made in Sony Vegas, so don't worry about what software you are using. All videos will be judged equally and fairly.

The points that each video makes will not be published, but if you're interested to know in how well your video scored, I would be happy to send you the scores in a personal message.

@stubbornfilly If it's a couple of months old, sure. If it's a year or so old, then no. Only because in the last few years, video editing has advanced, and I wouldn't want anyone to feel like others had an unfair advantage because of more recent editing software. :-)
