I first became aware of this song in the 1990s when it was used on a car commercial. It's totally weird and right up my street. I love it when musicians depart from the norm and come up with something nutty like this. Excellent stuff! Is he singing another language now and then? Sounds Swedish or something. Abba on acid maybe.

Russell just sang and pronounced words in a very distinctive way, a lot of Americans thought it was some European accent, I got a lot of lyrics wrong until I bought the albums and could read the lyric sheets.
