  • I just got a desert digi camo Mosquito, the suppresed version with the threaded barrel.

I ordered from CTD the thread adapter which is like the standard 1/2 threads.

I was curious how much that Gemtch outback 2 costs?

Do you have any suggestions on other cans or does the Gemtech work good and stay quite.

  • @boosted28

The outbacks are pretty cheap. $300 or so out the door. Plus tax of course. The newer outbacks are user serviceable. Ive got an Outback II and a SWR Spectre. The spectre is a more expensive and a wee bit quieter but it is very long and heavy compared to the outback. Either are a good choice.

  • Not to be a douche but Its Not a Silencer ITS A SUPPRESSOR!

  • @IWModerator

No. The debate on what these devices is called was settled in 1909 when the inventor of the device named them Silencers. 60+ years later some dildo writer for Soldier of Fortune decides he wants to rename them because they dont make guns completely silent. I dont think so. Nouns in English do not have to describe the function or efficacy of the object they represent.

  • holy shit you actualy got the sub sonics to work in that gun!!! I got the winter digital camo mosquito and it only cycles the cci stingers. nothing else will works even after changing the spring. i now have a few thousand rounds i can't use because that gun hates everything.

  • @McSpreadum

Rotate the takedown lever over and remove the barrel retaining screw. Slop red loctite liberally over the barrel lug where it goes into the receiver. Put the barrel back in and reinstall the barrel retainer screw. TIGHTEN the bejesus out of the screw. Put the soft recoil spring in. The gun works MUCH better without the barrel flopping around all over the place. That mosquito will feed and fire anything.

True, but you won't sustain hearing loss after you shoot them in the face. Silencers are for the shooter. Not the target. Why is that so hard for people to understand?

  • @mikeandnatasha epic response

  • @McSpreadum ..my sig skeeters a picky bitch on ammo too,..have to shhot the high dollar CCI stuff or its a jam-o-matic, same goes with my ISSC M22,...should of just saved the money and bought 2 ruger MK3 22/45's with the threaded barrels...(>.>)

  • @mikeandnatasha I approve of someone who can fire a gun AND school people with words like "efficacy". But . . if enough people use a word in one context, even wrongly, the meaning evolves. "Decimate" is a good example. Or "gay". I mention this purely out of interest, because if the inventor named the silencer "silencer" then we should all give him respect and call it what he damn well pleases. A brand name or trademark shouldn't evolve. Coke is coke, silencer is silencer. I'd like that gun now.

  • @mikeandnatasha probably a dumb question but im new to hand guns kinda, but du u have to hav the threaded barrel to put the silencer on it?

  • @IWModerator you're a fucking Mall Ninja aren't you? The ATF calls them "SILENCERS" too.

  • @mikeandnatasha Thanks so much for the quick response, now can I just purchase one or do I need to get the tax stamp 1st??

All the info is much appreciated bro. I subbed ya BTW..
