My answer to Robert Anton Wilson about how we get people to function and think outside of their reality tunnel, as he puts it, is allowing reality itself to keep unfolding.
Strictly demarcated groups and cultures, and their isolated world-views, breakdown. New ones get built up. This is why you can have a black homosexual republican, but you couldn't in the past: set ideologies start to become more ambiguous.
