An animation depicting new I-5/196th Braided Ramp project. WSDOT is building new on-and off-ramps on southbound I-5 in Lynnwood. The new on-ramp from SR 525 and I-405 will be elevated over a new off-ramp to 196th Street SW.

I could not agree more. The back filling of waiting cars up the 525 hill is completely unacceptable. It doesn't matter what time you leave. I was at the intersection at 6:15 this am and waited 23 mins before finally merging on a fast flowing I-5 south. This was a ridiculous WASTE of taxpayer money. Braided Ramp! And why one lane with only HOV in the am for buses and carpools on the shoulder?

I hope the carpool lane for I450NB to I5 SB starts early. I'm tired of spending 10 minutes getting through this interchange even though I carpool. The new fly over redesign has turned it into 15 - 20 minutes since I can't get to the carpool lane for an extra half mile.

the freeway has been torn up for over a year. I am tired of driving on torn up asphalt with wear and tern on my tires and enduring high risk traffic issues. how about you guys get this done? keep your promises.

Looks better, but traffic from N 405 to exiting to 196th has to "criss-cross" traffic from S 525 merging to S 5. Why not move N 405 to 196th traffic to 196th ramp before merging with S 525 traffic?
