The craft may not need lifting of the planet at all.

Modular space craft that are flown up to space in pieces and then assemble automatically in space could fly all over the solar system powered by ion propulsion and the energy derived from solar radiation.

The main technical challenges there would be is getting the materials down to the ground.

Complex and mechanized drilling is done by private companies out in the middle of oceans where they are drilling to up to 30,000 ft. under the sea. Look up semi-submersibles, especially the Maersk commercials on youtube. Resource extraction in outer space is the linchpin to space colonization, unless someone invents a fusion powered space craft that can cheaply lift resources off of earth.
