  • I'm sorry maybe I'm looking at this wrong... but was that a negative G loop? can't be... right???

  • You are correct... It was a prop stand, followed by a tumble fall-over (that's my technical term for it), finished by an inverted negative G loop.

Those little Extra planes really have some performance.

  • It is "Orion". I had never noticed that before. Good catch.

  • Looks like an Extra 300 going up and helicopting the vertical with maybe 50% throttle then jamming the throttle open suddenly to give some torque to flip it over, recovering quickly and doing a neg-G loop on the recovery.

  • 2nd part is negative G loop... or outside loop. 1st part is called tail slide.

I wonder why you said "can't be".

  • for TexasEagleScout, thats not an extra...its a Sukhoi...

  • I flew a hammerhead over my hometown a few years back. Crazy pilot was later charged with flying while impaired after he landed his plane on the busiest boulevard in town!

  • that is awesome

  • music is "orion" of metallica no ?

  • cool
