What's My Range Again? (quick and dirty guide to figure out your vocal range)

@Sunajeshsja a woman can only hit some notes of tenor's usual vocal range (and sometimes you may hit, for example, A3 and mistake it for A2), she can never be a tenor or moreover baritone. For that you would probably have to inject in your body some tons of testosterone to get thicker vocal chords. :D :) If you feel comfortable singing in low register starting from D3, E3 and your voice has a kind of "dark" timbre, then you are probably contralto, which is the lowest possible voice for women.

@keneticam is actually common, since we have a much more dramatic vocal transformation in puberty our ranges are usually a little wider naturally (unfair I know) and the lowest the voice the wider the natural range (seems to be almost a fact), plus (in all honesty) with this "tenor fever" many males force their high voice too much (or count falseto as full voice) and that gives them many extra notes added to their natural lower register

I'm finding it hard to believe that all these males have ranges higher than the females here. lol but okay...

@BoomKia12 My kind.

T_T my voice range dropped to just G2-G4...
I used to hit that B4... T_T
incidentally though, my falsetto is overdeveloped and can hit all way up to B5[I wouldn't try hitting that in singing. Its so strained I'll break my neck. I need a vocal teacher I guess]
I may have just to opt singing as bass/baritone >.<
