If Jesus is God-Incarnate, the God-Man, then, He is superior to all!!! No other man on earth claimed deity. No other man or prophet on earth proved or backed up the claim to deity. We, the followers of Jesus, simply believe that He is who He claimed to be and that He backed that up in the most forceful way by His life on earth. The largest proof is His resurrection from the dead and ascension into Heaven. There is much proof supporting His resurrection from the dead.

You must understand that Christians who accept the Word of God, do not choose to believe that Jesus is the unique way to know God. Once we believe He is God in the flesh, we simply have to see Him as the only way to know and serve God truly. Once that is understood—nothing else--no other prophet and no other religion, compares to Him.

  • Many people in many cultures have claimed be diety. "An El Haq!" (I am god!) Al Hilaj Mansoor - Sufi mystic. "I am god" Charles Manson. "I am the truth" Meher Baba. "I know my original face" Osho. "I am the light" Satya Sai Baba. "I am the last messenger" Mohammed. etc. etc..........

  • Okay, but how many of them prophesied their own dead and ressurrection and then did it. How many of them have a creed written about them about these very events. A creed that was put together, no doubt within months of their "disappearance" from the earth. I'd say probably very few of them--maybe none.

  • Over 60 in the ancient world prior to Jesus. See Joe of arimethea, Mithra, Cyrus, Zarathrustra, etc. The Jesus story is a multi-cultural pagan myth of the ancient world.

  • ablue, to be honest, these statements are laughable to me. i am not laughing at you. It is that people in hindsight think that these ancients are something. I don't think Joe of A. should be in the list, he is the one who gave the tomb and buried Jesus in it.

Jesus is not multi-cultural--only one and the Greek new testament is not myth--that is just a view of the world but not reality.

  • Many early blues tunes have the lyric "Woke up this morning blues devils all around my bed." This refers to DTs caused by severe alcoholism. More recent songs drop the world 'devils' in the lyric to just 'blues.' This is one explanation of the origin of the word 'blues.'

  • I am not from there--meaning?
