@dbean its not quite as clear cut as that man. the only real safe zones in that country are either very large ISAF compounds and areas of the country where we do not conduct opperations. counter inssurgancy is the most tedious and inneffective way to fight a war, ever. if it was all out total war (which it is but not in the same sence) with actual clear cut front lines then there would be relatively "safe zones" but as it is most ground taken one day is back in taliban hands the next

Why do people not look at shit from both sides. If someone is occupying where I live and there driving around "shooting anything they want" to I'd pick up a rifle and pop there fucking head off. And you wonder why people pick up guns againts us.
