  • Doug is way better than Zakk and Slash combined. More chops and talent than image and attitude...

  • When it comes to technique, Slash is left miles behind but when it comes to musicality, harmony and innovation Slash is at the same level as them and even better sometimes. If I wanted to be able to play like someone, that would have been yngwie but, if i wanted to be able to think like someone that would have been Slash.

  • only one thing to say!! the solo to "full moon fever"!! superb!

  • @rokker1707 Dude you have no idea...this guy works wonders with his guitar.

  • @undeadbunnies ....Hhahahahaaha...now thats some funny sh*t...i think the same way...lmfao!!!!

  • damn i wish this guy was my guitar teacher he is a beast

  • Hahahaha! I love how he's like "Here's a mode *plays mode* so you can do this with it *TEN MILLION NOTES PER SECOND*"

  • Doug...your meaning of slow playing needs to have a meeting with my meaning of slow playing and convince him that your meaning is more awesome.

  • I love the fact he's tuned down half a step, but he forgot, lol.

  • @LTDGuitars420 Just watch the fingers and the technique/style at the 5:28 lick that is nothing but Aldrich man :)

  • @capalish91 I totally agree with you. A song like Joe Satriani's Flying in a blue dream does not sound jazzy at all.

Lydian has indeed a slightly mysterious sound.

But for jazzmen lydian is the first possibility to improvise over a major triad.

It is really hard to know how much this modal approach weights in the overall Aldrich approach. Does he pay attention? is it obvious for him... who knows :)

Anyway he is a fucking player!

  • Yeah men! 5:13

    Yeah men! 5:28

    Yeah men! 5:55

    Yeah men! 7:51

    Yeah men! 8:29

    Yeah men! 8:57

    DOUG ALDRICH IS THE MEN!
