Still in Joe's POV
Woman: Just go through those doors to the right (she points to them) and then turn left down the hall, and then go throught the second door on the right and tell the girl in there what it is you need. Doors to right, turn left, second door on right. I gotta remember that. Me: Okay. Um thanks. "I guess" I whisper so so she can't hear. I do as she told me to and find myslef in a room filled with clothes hanging up everywhere. And I mean EVERYWHERE. There's a whole bunch of those rolling cart things that you can hang clothes on scattered around the whole room. The lady at the desk, the weird one I might add, said there should be a girl in here. But I can't even see enough over these clothes to know if there is or not. Me: HELLO!!!!!! IS ANYONE IN HERE?!?!? I hear some carts being moved and then a girl yells back at me from what sounds like across the room. Girl: YEAH!!!!! HOLD ON ONE SEC, I'LL BE RIGHT THERE!!!!! Me: OKAY!!!! I hear more carts being moved and a minute later, a girl appears in front of me. Whoa. She looks about my age, and she's perhaps the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. She has dirty blonde hair and the most amazingly blue eyes, which at the moment I'm having trouble looking away from. Girl: Hi. She smiles at me and I can't help but to smile back. Me: Hi. I keep looking into her eyes and don't realize I should say something else until she starts talking again, obviously uncomfortable by the silence. Girl: Ummm, is there something I can help you with? I quickly snap out of the trance I was in. Me: Huh? Ugh! I must sound so stupid. I'm standing in front of this girl and all I can say is "huh?" like a complete idiot. But she just smiles again. And a genuine smile. Not the I-feel-sorry-for-you-because-you're-obvi ously-mental kind of smile. Girl: Is there something I can help you with? Because usually only employees are allowed back here. Me: Oh. Really? Well, that's weird because the woman at the front desk told me to come back here. Girl: She did? I just nod. Girl: Oh. That is weird. But, you know what? So is she. So it doesn't really surprise me she would do something like that. Me: I just feel better knowing I'm not the only person who thinks she's a physco. Girl: (laughs) I smile knowing that I could actually get her to laugh. Girl: Me too. So really, what did you need back here? Me: Oh yeah, I'm picking up a suit for Blake Davidson. Girl: (looks at me then starts laughing really hard) Me: What? Do I have something on my face? (I start feeling my face to see if there really is anything on it.) Girl: (starts laughing even harder after hearing what I just said, and shaking her head no at the same time. She finally calms down enough to talk.) I'm sorry. Me: Uh.. it's ok? Seriously, though, what were you laughing at? Girl: Oh it's just... (takes a deep breath to keep herself from laughing again.) Were you the guy that spilled wine on his suit? Me: Oh. So you heard about that, huh? She nods. Me: Well actually, no I am not. That was my brother, but he didn't feel like getting off his lazy butt and driving over here to get the new suit, so that's what I'm doing. Girl: Ohhhh. I see. Me: So does everybody here know about that now or something? Girl: No, not everybody. Probably just me, actually. Me: Why just you? Girl: Well, Blake Davidson is my dad. So he told me what happened. Hold on a minute. Blake Davidson is her dad? She's Blake Davidson's daughter? That must mean she's like stinkin' rich! She would never want to go out with a guy like me. I-I mean, n-not that I was gonna ask her out, but...still. It's the thought that counts. Kevin would be so proud of me for using one of his favorite sayings in my thoughts. Me: He is? Girl: Yeah. So tell your brother not to worry about anything, cause he's not mad. Me: Okay. I don't think he was that worried. He told me your dad was pretty nice about it. But I'll be sure to tell him anyway. Girl: Good. Oh I'm Jessie by the way. Me: Joe. Jessie: Let me go get the suit. I'll be right back.
PLEASE COMMENT!!!!!! THERE MIGHT BE A PART 3 UP SOON, BUT I HAVN'T WRITTEN IT YET, SO I'M NOT POSITIVE. BUT WATCH FOR IT!
