SBL Blythe Head Opening Tutorial

It's not always peaches and cream...but you can do it! Opening an SBL head is difficult the first time around...but once opened you can remove the eymech and make your Blythe's faceplate awesome!!!
What I did was take out the two screws, unhook the spring with a crochet hook and then PRY!!!
I pried the body out first, then I CAREFULLY took a flat-head screw driver covered with tape and pried around the face. Next I used a needle-nosed pliers and place them where the body once was, then opened them. This usually takes a while but on the video, it *magically* came off nice and fast. The eyemech can be easily removed by cutting the pull cord (I didn't do this) and then CAREFULLY prying the plastic between the eyelids and the eyesocket. Good luck with your custom!!!

does this also works for fake blythe dolls? i asked the seller on ebay if it can open the same way as a real blythe doll would, but does it? she said yes..i just wannah be sure. i mean, will it break?

@iluvpie20101 I'm not sure if this works on fake Blythes because I've never opened a fake Blythe. With real Blythe dolls, there are different molds such as RBL,SBL, and EBL. They all open differently. In this video I was opening an SBL.
