In the last Episode, Mario & co. end up with a room that has a giant egg. Upon talking to the egg, it asks if you want to play. Once you agree, a boss fight ensues.

*****
Boss: Birdo
When you first start the battle, you have to attack the egg, named Shelly. With each successive hit, it will start to crack. Once you hit it enough, a Birdo appears. Birdo has really strong defenses. Like most of her game appearances, she has the ability to spit eggs. Once you hit her enough, she'll say a few things, then launch a new attack: an egg attack that does a lot of damage. And it's unblockable as well. However, if you guard, it will bounce off your character, and you can hit it to explode on Birdo. This is the most reliable way of doing damage to Birdo. You will most likely be taking a lot of damage from the eggs, so heal when you can.
*****

Upon her defeat, she gives Mario the key to exit the room. They finally make it to where King and Queen Nimbus are being held. The door is locked, but Bowser says he can break the door down. Mallow stops him, however, and explains they should get rid of Valentina first.

  • ...I got to see Eggbert AND the Muku Cookie in action in one video.

This is probably the best SMRPG gameplay video on youtube.

  • What the heck is Bowser crying about? XD Being blocked from opening a door is no big deal. Unless he hurt himself when he was tripped...

  • avtually i have an idea

do not attack him raise your stats by using geno boost blah blah blahh and then attack for massive attack and defense

  • Yeah, the Birdo seen here is freaking huge compared to the ones seen in Super Mario Bros. 2 and the Mario spin-off titles, etc.
