What keeps the wire from winding backwards on itself? Does the coiling wire pull the rod itself or do you have to push the drill through the hole at a constant rate?

PLZ make a tutorial? if you do can you msg me? thanks!

Really nice winding jig! I'm impressed on the simplicity - and it worked so well!
Keep up the good vids!

That's Awesome! But just some quick questions...First off, what gauge wire were you using? Second, how many feet of wire did you just coil up? about 100 feet or so or more? Also, how big was the drill rod you were using, 1/2 Inch or 1/4 Inch? Thanks!!

The wire is 14 guage galvanized fence wire. The rod is 3/8" by 3 feet. I don't know how much wire was wound up but I generally get around 400 rings from a single coil.

If the jig is made really tight the winding wire will pull the rod through but generally you have to move the drill slowly forward to avoid doubling up the wire on the rod.

You should be able to reverse engineer the jig itself simply by looking at it.
If you can't you probably couldn't make one if it was described to you and you should go find something else to do.
There are plenty of good tutorials for weaving chainmaille and cutting the rings.
