  • Thank you, twofinedays, for uploading this beautiful piece. Sublime music, sublime playing - and beautiful photography to match. The piece has special meaning for me - a moving experience to see the clos- ups of Kyung-Wha as she puts her soul into the Bartok - and draws his soul out in her interpretation. Thank you again.

  • rrrrrr

  • Listen to the very first performance--here on YouTube--with Szekely performing it with Mengelberg conducting the Concertgebouw Orchestra.

It is the best of all--please listen.

  • kyung wha chung es tremenda yo escuche la version de anne sophie mutter y esta son las dos mas bellas q he oido impresionante

  • nocturnal and misterious atmosphere surrounds this 2nd movement, andante tranquillo with a touch of dreaming lyricism, this 2nd Bartok violin concert was premiered in Amsterdam on march 23, 1939 by friend and interpreter Zolktán Székely. Bartok wrote it between 1937-38
