As we pass 22,000 pageviews, I want to thank you all for making this my most popular video I have ever created. This video has been featured and shared across the Internet and all the comments you guys have to say has really made me realize just how powerful this video is. I know when I made this I was mostly trying to target myself while still making it possible for others to relate to it, but you guys are seeing it as if it was your character as well, which makes the nostalgia just become incomparable to anything else I've seen. So thanks for making Time something worth making and sharing to the rest of you guys. I'll continue to make videos for WoW but these do take a lot of time to put together as you're aware, so if you're patient with me you'll be rewarded. Thanks again guys!

This is an idea I've had since school got out near the beginning of May. I wanted to share the memories I've had while playing World of Warcraft since I've essentially retired from the game in Cataclysm. So this is my last hoorah of how much fun WoW was for me. The video covers almost seven years of my adventures, starting from Vanilla all the way to the end of Wrath of the Lich King.

The process of making each of these scenes in the video is time-consuming. I first take a screenshot of the background from WoW and then film a scene with it. Afterwards, I go into WoW Model Viewer and create my character with appropriate posing and armor. Then, I save the picture and put it into GIMP along with the background. Here, I do the editing of the models including lighting, shading, shadows, effects, clouds, and what not. All of these layers are saved individually and then are uploaded into Sony Vegas. From there, I crop and pan each picture so that the scene is finished. The most strenuous part of this whole process is key-framing the models to the ground while the camera is in motion. It takes a good two hours to get a picture and a scene complete.

A scene usually has the background recording, the model, and a black model underneath the actual model. The black model is there so that when the camera fades out, the model doesn't fade and appear transparent. The black model prevents the transparent issue. There's your educational fact of the day.

Coming back to this video, it's so surreal to see that over 25000 people have watched Time. I've read every comment and everything you all have to say makes it well more than worth creating Time in the first place. Time was meant to show how fond I was of the game regardless of a few bad spots here and there, but everything has its ups and downs. WoW is no different. What I hope you all leave here with is that you should cherish all of the good that this game has given to you like it did to me.

I miss this time so much... World of Warcraft was one of the best experience in my life, I met so many great people that I will never forget, there are so many places which are so important for me... I stopped at Mop release because my boyfriend doesn't want to play WoW anymore. (He just said "WoW is dead" and never tried to come back...)

Jokes aside, WoW isn't dead. It won't be until Blizz pulls the plug on it. When people say that, they aren't fond of the change in direction the game has taken.New people are what fuel the interest of WoW. They don't know what it was like before, so they enjoy the game more because everything is new to them. That's why with the sunrise at the end of the video, it signifies me passing the torch to someone else so they can enjoy it as much as I did.

Wow, this is amazing. As I watched this short I was reminded of what truly drew me into World of Warcraft and that was the shock and awe of everything that was going on around me. Just not knowing better, not knowing that there were races for world first, not knowing that I should use this weapon or that weapon, just being a noob is one of the greatest experiences a person can have; especially in a game like this. Thank you for reminding me of how great WoW was, good luck to you friend.
