Lobbies don't have nearly as much power in the United Kingdom as they do in America. It's also been shown that newspapers actually have very little effect on people's opinions, so Rupert Murdoch doesn't control anything, he just makes a lot of money. Democracy isn't perfect in the UK but you make a lot of over exaggerations. I hope democracy will soon come to Tunisia and Egypt.
