Spelling and grammar are two different but related things in writing composition.

When writing in a "conversational" context ( for example, when you read dialogue in a book) you will notice that fragments are the meat and potatoes of the exchanges. No one "talks" as if they were writing an essay unless they are giving a speech and even then there are interjections and fragments for effect.
