I agree, the great era of music is over. I really think things went downhill after 1989, it was a bigtime sell out and originality was thrown out of the window for good too. All these artificially engineered untalented bands have taken over and ruined music. Hail to the 1970's.

How the hell did this band make it into the Rock Hall of Fame and a band like DEVO can't??

Steely Dan's music was the norm for that day and nothing original what so ever. Devo's music and influence can be heard in today's music.

I can name you over a hundred bands who said DEVO inspired/ influenced them, but can't name one band who said the same about Steely Dan...
